Dear All and especially William who I think we all owe a great deal to for your enthusiasm and depth of knowledge on the family history. We all seem to have been fairly quiet for a year or two, I thought I'd post a message to let you know about my latest excuse for taking little interest in family history for a while. Earlier today my son Joseph William Brennan was born, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, England. He is named after my grandfathers, both sons of Irish emigrants to England and both Lancashire coal miners. William Gauckwin was my mother's father and was both evauated at Dunkirk and landed at Sword beach on D-Day, but he taught me how to make a fire and how to make reed whips and how to find the Kingfishers on Carr Mill Dam. I hope that Joseph William's Gauckwin genes shape him well - I know they will, his grandmother will make sure of that. Best wishes to you all. Stewart Brennan Notify Administrator about this message?
