Hi John, it was a really nice surprise to hear from you. Yes, I spoke to Joan last year and she was very enthusiastic about the family history - please give her our best wishes. Why don't you drop me a line on brennan@eggconnect.net and we can keep in touch. I've recently found some census records that I can send you showing Nana and her family in St.Helens in 1891, 1881. Her father was James Joseph Geraghty. I remember her quite well, and their house in Bassenthwaite Ave, I called her Button Nanny because I always made a point of sorting out here extensive button collection when we visited. My grandparents Billy and Irene lived on Windermere just around the corner so we went quite often. I've also been in touch recently with Anne Kerr, nee Gauckwin who was daughter of Anne (grandf's daughter). Anne lived with her Uncle - David, brother of Grandf, who lived in Atlas St. I guess your mum knows Anne? Are you a Saints fan? (is the pope catholic?) we don't get much in the way of RL up here, but if you are you'd appreciate the fact that Kate (my wife) has just bought me a copy of the Saints v Wigan 1966 Cup Final programme, on ebay as a very appropriate 40th birthday present.. (it didn't go for much more than face value apparently..) Cheers, and best wishes Stewart Notify Administrator about this message?
