Welcome to the site and many thanks for the offer to share/help, its's very much appreciated.
I'm Mary Ellen Gauckwin (Kay) G,G,Gr daughter of Denis Gaughwin, born Abt,1817 and died 25th September 1887 in Caltraghlea, Galway. He married Margaret Brien, born 1813and died 7th May 1888.
The Griffiths Valuation,has Denis Gaughwin in the townland of Doon Upper,parih of Fohanagh.
Any thing on the Gaughwin - Gauckwin for the Fohanagh or Fohanagh/Kilgerrill parish would be most welcome.
I'll be in Galway during June/July, and wouldn't mind a look around Taghboy,could you point me in the right direction where I might find some records relating to the Gaughwin please.
