Hi,
I've corresponded with Sheila on the internet also. She's related to the Patricia Gaquin who lives south of Boston but we have yet to find a connection. For many years we thought that all Gaquins in the Boston area were closely related to us, but through the years we've come across some in the Brockton-Avon-Easton area. There's a John, too. We figured that they were descended from someone who came over in the Famine--maybe a cousin.
I haven't been back to Ireland since 1968--we spent Christmas there with Bridget Gacquin O'Brien's family. At that time my husband and I lived in Germany. I was there also in 1967 before I was married. Would love to return some time.
I saw some cousins at Tommy's wake. Jim gave a beautiful eulogy at the funeral.
Stay in touch, Eileen
