I saw your message today and am glad to see you are keeping in touch with the site. From Stewart Brennan I know that you belong to his branch of the Gauckwin family. I am one of the Irish family that have settled on the Gacquin spelling of the name. With regard to your grandfather's question I might be able to help but I need to know if the family you are looking for is from Ireland or England.
