I found a posting on Desrosiers family forum, which lists some connections re: Gadbois/Pare/Perry/Durocher etc. http://genforum.genealogy.com/desrosiers/messages/266.html My grandmother was a Durocher and spelled her name DeRochie. Her ancestors were from France to Quebec and ended up in Indian Lands, Concession 2 of Charlottenburg in Glengarry County. (Tyotown Road between the Purcell Road and the Rae Road). My line is: Antoine Durocher and Genevieve Pare (Perry); Joseph Durocher and Marguerite Chatelain ; Joseph Durocher and Bridget Kinsella; Alzina Durocher (DeRochie) and George W. MacDonald. There were at least two of the children of Joseph Durocher and Marguerite Chatelain (Chatlin etc) who married Gadbois who were neighbours on Concession 2 of Indian Lands, Charlottenburg: Mary married Alexander Gadbois on May 21, 1860 and Sophia married Francis Gadbois on October 10, 1860. These Gadbois were both sons of Francis Gadbois and Mary Perry. I wonder if the Perry name here is connected to Genevieve Pare/Perry, who was married to Antoine Durocher? The Durocher name had many variations of spellings as did many other French names. Colleen
