Repeating names gets worse!

I hate to say this but there were at least three Fanny Gaffords...Daniel had a daughter names Frances (Fanny), also. This family repeated given names with every generation and the generations overlapped because the family was so large.

I have at least five Stephens, five Thomasses, three Jerimiahs, seven Johns, two Josephs, four Marys and five Elizabeths. This is just the AL line that is mine and not counting the married-into-Gafford group!

Currently looking for the parents of the Elizabeth Gafford who married Daniel Thompson, and became parents to John Augustus Thompson.
Does anyone have this info? 76 year old Agnes Thompson Gordon of Augusta, GA has asked our help.

Keep up the good work, Cousins! Alabama
