An application of Ann D. Gafford one of the orphans of Stephen Gafford, Jr. deceased. It is ordered that Abner Davis, John Rushin, ?? Cox, Charles Smith and Daniel B. Worsham or any three of them be and they hereby appointed commissioners to divide the negreos, money and all the other personal ?? of said des’ and assign to the said Ann D. Gafford by lot as ??? one third part of said property and money and leave the other two thirds in the hands of Peter Northern Guardian of George W. and Jeremiah Gafford the other two distributes of the said estate and make a return there of according to ??.
The court then adjourned until first Monday in Dec., next.

The following is distributive of all the personal estate belonging to the minors of Stephen Gafford, Jr., Dced.
Agreeable to an order from the honerable court of ordinary of said county to us.
1. We allot to Ephraim Northern (Ann’s husband) three negroes to wit Sara Jenny and Emily valued at $900.
Also sixty seven dollars and 95 cents it being his part of the money and one hundred and nineteen dollars and fifty cents it being his part of the bad paper.
2. We allot to Peter Northern Guardian for George Gafford and Jeremiah Gafford the other two distributes of the desc Eight negroes to wit; Rachael, Roxie, etc $1750. Also three hundred and seventy six and 75 cents it being their part of the money and two hundred and thirty nine it being their part of the bad paper.
We Certify that the above is a just return of the personal estate belonging to the minor of Stephen Gafford, Jr. Dec

Jan. 21, 1838 Wm. Atkins received board from George W. Gafford administor of John Walker, des'd for board of Jeremiah.

Aug 1, 1838 Tallapoosa Co., AL. bought land.
