My Greatgrandfather Robert was married to Minerva Green. His fathers name was James Gafford, but James' father was Michael Gafford, not William. William was also a son of Michael Gafford. William also had a son named William who named one of his sons James Polk Gafford. James Polk I understand also had a brother named Robert. But, this Robert is not my Greatgrandfather. I know it get confusing with all the same names. But, if you would like I will try to send you information all the way back to Thomas Gafford, one of the first Gafford's to come to this Country.
