Allen Gafford probably son of John or Michael. Nov. 4, 1828 he is listed as living near Candy Creek, Monroe Co., TN. His name is listed on one of the treatys giving Cherokee land up west of the MS. Shows a family of 5. He is listed on the Old Settlers roll in Flint dist. of the Cherokee Nation (OK.)1851 According to 1860 Okla. census he was born 1802 in S. C. He married part Indian Nancy Foreman. He died on Dec. 20, 1868 in Flint District, Cherokee area of Indian Territory. He had the following children with Nancy. May have been more children considering his family is listed as 5 in 1828 before he is supposed to have married Nancy Foreman.
