I have just returned from Salt Lake City where the Gafford Family Reunion was held. Geoffrey Gafford, from Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire England, and I did a great deal of research on the Gaffords in England. We found that most of them, some as far back as the 1500's, were from Oxford or London. We did not find any in Wales which is where my family thought they came from or Scotland.
