Marilyn, I'm related to most of the Gafford folks in Texas. I've not heard of Andrew Jackson Gafford, but did look up a Andrew Jefferson Gafford b. 7 February 1855 d. 2 August 1927 in Corsicana, Navarro County, Texas. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery. I thought that perhaps with the similarity in names they might be related. Perhaps cousins. There are plenty of Gafford folks in Hopkins County, Texas.
