3 brothers, Patrick, Peter, and James Gahagan (all sons of Peter William and Catherine) settled in McLean County, near LeRoy,Illinois in the 1850-60's. I am a descendant of Peter Gahagan who came to Kansas in 1871 after his wife Catherine died in Illinois. He left son John and dau. Mary in Illinois (she married Jeremiah J. Rhodes) and brought younger son James to Kansas while taking youngest daughter Margaret to St. Ann's Academy in Lexington KY. Peter's brother Patrick was married to Margaret (Kinsella)-she married Patrick Roach after her first husband died in 1878. Peter's brother James married Julia Donovan (d. 1937 buried in St.Mary's cemetery in Bloomington). Any information about the ancestors/descendants of the three brothers would be appreciated.
