Jeanette, my husband's Galatas family came from Feronda, Calahorra, Spain in the 1700s to south Louisiana. It is possible that some of this family ended up in Argentina - I had some information that some of his ancestors did come out of Argentina but I don't remember which surname that was. His family consists mainly of French and Spanish colonists to the New Orleans and Gulf Coast area, with a few Germans and Canadians thrown in. If I come across an Argentina connection, I'll let you know.
