My father's first cousin was a Tom Galvin who married an Elizabeth ? in about 1900. It seems they lived all their lives in/near the Jersey City, NJ area. My father was William Wheeler and his mother was Mary Finucane Wheeler. I think the cousin relationship was through his mother's side of the family (Finucane, McCarthy) I have no information about this Tom Galvin's family. However, I think he was a soldier in WWI and in died in the early 30's. If you have any Finucane or McCarthy family names in your genealogy, there might be a connection.
