Hi there-- Thanks for writing. I have a pretty detailed genealogy of the Galvin side, from a lady named Michelle Cranston in New York State. First off, she tells me that it's John Galvin, not James, who was my grandmother Nora's father. And her mother was indeed Julia Stack. Nora's sister Margaret (born February 1864 in Co. Kerry), according to Michelle's list, was married twice, but neither time to a Charles Beaver(s). Her first husband's last name was McDermott (unknown first name), and her second was Michael Flaherty, married in 1891 in Washington, D.C. As to John Galvin's parents, I don't know their names, but it would be logical to think John was born in the 1830s or early 1840s, and HIS father could indeed have been born in 1805. But again, neither Michelle's information or mine gives any names for John Galvin's mother or father. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
