Hi Mary, Galvin sisters came from Shannon Harbour,Co.Offaly
Family & relatives lived there. Maybe not much help.
Official Heritage Centers may help. They hold parish, & I think, local census records. There is a charge. They operate on a more or less county basis & if they do not have relevant info.for you, they do not check with other Centers-they were setup to operate in that way-not helpful.
(2) Records start(?) 1763.
(3) ---Census 1911 for the Republic of Ireland. The good news it's free. FREE?? YES! FREE!FREE!!! Search, brouse, download, use only forenames & lots more.Just log in-do'nt even have to register. Census 1901 due out this year. Travel in hope.
