John P. Galvin, age 86, of Northfield, formerly of Glencoe. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Patricia (nee Stevenson) Galvin; loving Father of Steve (Anne) Galvin, Nancy (David) Platz and Susan Galvin; cherished grandfather of Sean Galvin and Nicholas Platz; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews; caring friend to many. John proudly served as an Officer in the U.S. Naval Air Corps. Graduated from Northwestern University where he met his wife. Successfully established the insurance business he ran for over 56 years that still exists today. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 30, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church 1077 Tower Rd., Winnetka, IL 60093.
