Hi Laura, As yet, I haven't gotten around to researching the Labate family. The past two years I've concentrated on my surname (Gambino) and my mothers (Iurillo). As I stated earlier, my aunt Antoinette Iurillo married Angelo Labate in the early 20's. Uncle Angelo was a carbiniera (sp) (elete police officer) in Italy. When he immigrated to the U.S. he worked as a carpenter. All my Labate cousins reside in New York except one. She lives in California as do I.
Nick
