Cheryl,

Looking for somebody having the surname Gardener/Gardiner/Gardner (more or less interchangeable when few, if any, could read & write) in the Bisley area presents difficulties because about 25% of the population in the area was named so.

However, I have lots of stuff from the Bisley area and there's a Gardiner in my tree so I may be able to help you when you're back a few more years but see next.

Freebmd - http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl - gives no J.H.G. birth registration however spelt but there is the registration of the birth of John Gardners in the Dec, qtr of 1844 and the Sept. qtr of 1845. Freebmd gives no marriage registration for G.H.G nor for Sarah Ann Gaskell so it seems you need to check your research which appears to be incorrect.

If you let me know of your research which led to the John X Sarah marriage I might be able to find something.

Regards

Geoff
