Mary Parilla Garde(i)ner B.1841 PA,OH,IL
of 55
Mary Parilla Gardener married her schoolteacher Norman Nelson Blake in Ohio 4/5/1860, they
moved to Illinois after the war. Norman served with the Squirell Hunters opposing John Hunt
Morgan's Raid, and later
was a 100 days man with the 136th Ohio serving to garrison Washington DC.
Mary's mother was Elizabeth b. 1808 in Pennsylvania. Her father was born in N.Y.
Children included Lulu Theresa Geraladine, Milla Moretta, Nellie, Pearl Forrest, Mose,
maybe others.
Wondering if Mary's father, a Gardener from New York is related to the Gardener lady that was the
second wife of a president (Tyler?) back then.
Any help appreciated.
