Garlingtons' in Texas/Indian Territory 1898-1899

Laurens and Helen Eugenia Robbins Garlington left Walnut Grove, AL in 1894 headed for Texas. They moved close to the border in 1897, then crossed into Indian Territory. Them are said to have lost a child Doris (age 8) in 1898 (in Atlee, Altee or Altus. Can't be sure), and another chid was said to have died in Oakland in 1898 or 1899. They returned to Alabama in 1899 without ever staking a claim, and showed up in the 1900 census in Alabama. So far, I have not been to find anything on the deaths of the children. Any leads would help and would be much appreciated.

Fred
