Oh My!!! I think this is the same family!! I have never seen a wife for Herbert and if this is the same man, and I believe it is, then you have added VOLUMES for those of us looking for our GARLINGTONs. Apparently, Herbert/Hubbard's first born was Mary. Our ancestor is Mary J. and we have felt all along that she may be the daughter of Herbert. Now, here is why I think the possibility is there! Mary J. GARLINGTON who married John Lane BURROUGH had a son in 1882 whose name was Thomas Brister BURROUGH. I have always thought it must be a family name. He went by Brister, not Thomas. What do you know about Dinna BRISTER?? I really want to share everything I can to help you too. Let me know what you need.
