Dolores, one thing you might do is send me any census information you have found on the Garlington Family Group that includes Mary J. Garlington. I would like to see what descriptive information is shown for her parents which (hopefully) would be John Hubbard Garlington and Dinna (Brister)Garlington and compare that with what I have.

I will add now that there is a remote chance that John Hubbard Garlington may have changed his name after leaving Mississippi for I know he got into some trouble involving a shooting, the circumstances of which are not altogether clear. Others have told me that the Garlingtons were prone to get into "trouble."

Come to think of it, this is probably the right family. It would be a pretty long shot to hope to find another Garlington/Brister family?

By the way, if you are able to send me those pages from the Garlington book, I would, of course, want to reimburse you for postage and copying.
