I feel like an idiot!!! I found in my own records answers to some of the questions I proposed. Sorry!!!

Andrew Jackson ("Andy") Garman, born in 1816, died in 1909. He was a son of Adam Garman, said to have been born in 1780 in PA, who died in Sept 1863; That Adam's wife was Eva (Shore) Allen Garman. Herman Spear once wrote me that "my" Nancy Garman and all the Garman men named in the 1810 census were children of Adam Garman Sr. who died in Cumberland Co KY in 1807 "per A. J. Garmon Bible records".

I find in another record that "Linder A. Garmon of Leatherwood Creek, was a son of Calvin T. Garman who was a son of A. J. Garman. That makes Linder A. the grandson of A. J. Is he still living? Can anyone direct me to him? Perhaps he knows where that Bible is and/or if that Adam Garman Sr., who died in 1807, is his ancestor.

If you know where I can find Mr. Linder A. Garmon, or if you know of someone else who knows these answers, please let me hear from you.

Dorothy Donnell Steers
