Leonard was twice married. He served in the 1812 war. He bought the land in 1813. By the 2 wives he had 11 children:
Adam - stayed in Lancaster county
George - sold in 1870 and moved to Franklin county
Jacob - moved to Mifflin county
Elizabeth married a Mr. Curley
Mary married a Mr. Glendenning
Barbara married a Mr. Northeimer and moved to Chester county
Catherine, Leah and Nancy remained single.
Philip married Elizabeth Donnahour and they had 7 children:
Mary married Fred Graf
Reuben married Ida Spotts
Annie married George E. Bewley
Louisa married Christian Shirk
Levi married Dora Spotts (sister to Ida)
Lydia married William Guy
At Mrs. Philip Garman's death, only 6 of the 7 children were still alive
