Mrs. Fanny Garman, widow of the late Jacob Garman, of Rayne township, died at her home on Second ward, on Wednesday, aged 63 years. The deceased has been in ill health for several months and her death is due to a complication of the diseases. Recently she moved from Rayne township to this place, where she has been making her home with her only child, Annie, who survives her. Mrs. Garman was member of the Grove Chapel Lutheran church in Rayne township. Her pastor, Rev. John Tomlinson, conducted the funeral service on Friday and the remains were taken to the church graveyard for interment.
From the Indiana Progress newspaper of Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1896 (page 4) (so she died Dec 2, 1896).
