This is very interesting information. I agree with the strange D.O.B.. The 1850 census has his age at 68 and the Biographical Annals of Cumberland County of 1905 list his age at death at 81 years. So, you might have something here in your research. We do have a lot of John's in the Garman lines. So can we concede in this search and call it facts or do we go with it and call it probably theory? I am game. Do we have any DNA projects going on for the Garman lines? Did Johann Leonard Garman and Catharine E. Kin(t)zer have any other children? John has a very strong line that carry the Garman name. Perhaps we should start getting family members to do the y-chrom testing. Then if Leonard and Barbara had other children, check their lines for a donor. I think it might be the only 100% fail safe proof, if their is other children from this line. What's your thoughts?
