I purchased the subject undated RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) (not postally used) depicting two girls dressed alike in dark-colored pants/leggings, light-colored dresses, and straw hats, and holding paper boxes in each hand. It is identified on the back: "Mabel Irene Garman (8) Jessie Lucile Garman (6) Cottage Cheese Girls. For Uncle Homer and Aunt Bessie" These individuals appear in Public Member Trees posted on ancestry.com. Mabel Irene Garman, born 26 Oct 1913 in Elkhart, IN, died 6 Aug 2006 in Manheim, PA, and Jessie Lucile Garman, born 26 Oct 1915 in IN, died 24 Feb 1996 in Lancester, PA, were the daughters of a farm laborer, David Steffy Garman (1878-1939), and Martha Viola Curtis (1883-1958). They are listed in the 1920 Census data for Harrison Township, Elkhart Co., IN; and the 1930 Census data for Goshen (resided at 1005 Seventh Street), Elkhart Co., IN. Mabel married Harry Harold Daugherty (1911-1994). Jessie married Henry R. Nissley (1889-1982) and George C. Ice (1901-1943). Contact me for free scans. Notify Administrator about this message?
