Hello. Hamilton Garmony Vowell was born 1836 to Nathaniel Vowell and unknown wife. In 1840 Nathaniel Vowell lived in Randolph Co AL with 5 slaves. During the 1830s Nathaniel owned land in Coweta Co GA. Others of his relatives were in Gwinnett Co GA in the 1820 census. Do you know if the wife of Nathaniel Vowell might possibly be a daugther of Hamilton Garmany? The first child born to Nathaniel Vowell and wife was daughter Mary, born 1832-33. That would suggest a marriage of 1830-32. Nathaniel's wife in 1840 census was shown to be born 1811-20. Thank you for any information or suggestions for further research. -Will Hendricks, administrator Vowell DNA Project
