Garmons of Cobb County, Georgia
I am researching the Garmon family of Cobb County, Georgia, trying to find the ancestors of my father, Joseph Frances Marion Garmon, born in 1876 in Cobb County. It is possible that he descended from one of three Garmons who came to that area shortly after 1800 from South Carolina: (1) William R. Garmon, born 1803 in SC, married in Hall County, Georgia to Sarah Furr in 1827 and to Mary A.v.Meers in 1842. (2) Jeremiah Garman, born 1815 in SC, married Sarah E. Tidwell in 1834 in Coweta, Georgia. (3) James Garmon, born 1810 in SC, married Lucinda Caroline Yancy Feb 21, 1837 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I have information on all three of the SC Garmons if anyone is interested. Thank You Jim Garmon
