Jean Baptiste Garneau b? d? married Emilie Simoneau b? d?
on September 3, 1872 in St. Julien de Wolfe, P.Q., Canada.
This was his second wife.
Emilie gave birth to a daughter on June 2, 1873 in Biddeford, York County, Maine USA and named her Rosanna Garneau(my paternal grandmother). Rosanna's father was a seaman and it is not known what became of him. It is not not known what became of her mother Emilie either but at a very young age, Rosanna was given to ?????? a woman, name has been forgotten, who was living at Thetford Mines, Quebec in the late 1920's. Rosanna left this woman at the age of 15 and moved to Lewiston Maine USA to work in the mills. At the age of 17 she married my grandfather, Felicien J. Gosselin, August 11, 1890, in Lewiston Maine USA
Would anyone have any information about Jean Baptiste Garneau, Emilie Simoneau and especially the woman who raised
my grandmother in Canada?
Thank You!
