I have very few infos re: Modeste Garneau an Elizabeth Mitchell's children.

Elizabeth Jane Garneau was born on dec 1862 and christened on jan 4 1863 under the name of Jane Elizabeth Earl. Her mother had died on dec 27 1862 and was "adopted" by Jonathan Earl. In the 1871 census, she is listed as a Garneau, while in the 1881 census she is listed as a Earl. As her father died in1872, I am not sure when the adoption took place. She married Fred. Henry Parsons May 14, 1885 and they had a number of children thereafter. They live in the townships of Coleraine and Wolfetown. The register of the Maple Grove Anglican church in the township of Ireland contains most of the info about those vital events.

Other children seem to have emigrated to the States early on, as they cannot be retraced in the 1881 canadian census.

Modeste is my great great grand father. His first son from his first marriage was Charles, my mother grand father.
