Hi Gayle,

I've been trying to trace (simply by internet research) the same people - who I think are the earliest ancestors I can find on my Dad's side. I found the following information on a website:

Pierre Garnault aka Garnaud aka Guerineau (1600-1660) and married about 1633 Grimaudière, Châtellerault, Poitiers, Poitou (Vienna), France Jeanne Barault (Barrault) (1600-1634) of Grimaudiere, Leveche De (Vienne) Poitiers, France. Source Tanguay, Cyrrien.

Louis Garnaud aka Guerineau born 1634 La Grimaudiere, Vienne, France, Died April 2, 1698 L'Ange Gardien, Quebec, married July 23, 1663, Quebec, Quebec Marie Mazoue (Masoue) born December 3, 1644, baptised December 8, 1644 La Rochelle, Aunis, France died June 19, 1713 L'Ange Gardien, Quebec.
