I certainly am still chasing the Garnetts. Can't see an obvious connection, but will keep your email and see if I can help at all. I have been chasing my tree for many years and have a lot of info. and there are a few people like us chasing family. Mine are from Alverstoke until mid 1800's and then Portsmouth.

I haven't been spending much time lately as we are renovating and have a huge garden to get ubder control, but I will get back to it soon and be in touch again.
