Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

You can also find information on the family in a book which is out of print but is available though some companies which specialize in out of print materials. Also, so of the larger libraries and the Library of congress have copies.

"Genealogy of the Desendants of John Gar, or more particularly of his son Andreas Gaar,"

The book is written by John Wesley Garr, M.D. and Completed in 1894 by his son, John Calhoun Garr.

It was reprinted by
Higginson Book Co.
148 Washington St., P.O. Box 778
Salem, Mass 01970

They also have a web site
www.higginsonbooks.com

The book is approx $100.00 or more. I do have a copy which my husband gave me one christmas.

I hope that this will help.
