There is a book referred to as the Garr Genealogy

The name on the book Genealogy of the Descendants of John Gar, or more particularly of his son Andreas Gaar who emigrated from Bavaria to America in 1732.

It was commenced 1844 by John Wesley Garr MD and completed in 1894 by his son John Calhoun Garr. Published by in 1894. Reprints available.

If you can trace back to someone in the book, the book is a wealth of information.

I have a copy of the index. I will be glad to look up a few names for you. Remember the book was published in 1894.
