I may have the information that you need. I have an ancestor(Mary A. Garabrant) that is buried in Hancock, Massachusets. She was married to a Warren Sparrow and died in Hancock, Massachusetts on 7 Feb 1875 at the age of 41. She is burried there in Hancock and I have been there and have a picture of her grave stone.

I have been working on her husbands side (Sparrow) and have been unable to find either one in NY of NJ. I have them in the 1860 and 1880 census, but have been unable to trace them backwards. Ultimatily I believe that they came form "the eastern shore" of Maryland. As a side note, there is a Sparrows Point in Maryland and my family says that this is where they came from, but in checking the term "eastern shore" seems to refer to the other side of the bay.

Anyway, I hope that we can help each other out here... I also have information on their children.
