I do not know about John Garrard, my apologies but I have an image of a subtsantial family tree presented to my father about twenty years ago from a man name Clarke (he was vitally interested in the Garrard's due to the of Frederick Clarke 9.3.1830-18.4.1903 to Emmeline Mary Garrard 10.6.1833 - 1913). It goes back as far as Thomas Garrard dc 1700 who had a son by hist first wife (Sicely) named John who had a son name Thomas who had a son named Robert Hazlefoot 1728-1785 who had a son Robert 1973-1881 who was the Crown Jeweller and another son Sebastian 1798-1870 who was the Crown Jeweller and cut the Koh-i-Nor diamond in 1852 and another son named Henry 1808-1862 who married Mery Mortimer 18710-1873 (A direct descendant of Roger Mortimer the Earl of Bath b1279 who in 1327 murdered King Edward II bi inserting a red-hot poker through his bowel.
I can send digitised images of what I have and I am especially intersted in getting any earlier details you may have. Please advise your email/other contact detaisl if you need more.
