GARRAWAY - Frederick Leroy (Roy) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family and the strong presence of God, into whose embrace he has been enfolded. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Clara Garraway, beloved son, Rodney Garraway; and sister, Phyllis Read. Roy is survived by his loving wife and companion of 55 years, Helen; son, Richard (Teresa); daughter, Gwen Lister (Ken); daughter-in law, Kathy. Devoted and loving grandfather to Shannon (Duane), Erin, David, Michael, Patrick (Danielle), Robert, Alison, and Kristine; and great grandfather to Jaxon, Benjamin and Ryder. Roy was born in Meyronne, SK on February 12, 1921. He attended Balfour Technical School in Regina, SK following which he proudly served his country overseas for four years during WWII. After he retired in 1982, Roy and Helen pursued their life-long interest in travel, gardening and the outdoors. His greatest joy and lasting legacy is his family. Interment will take place at Regina Memorial Gardens following a PRIVATE FAMILY MEMORIAL SERVICE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360-2nd Ave. Regina, SK S4R 1A6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1920 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
