Hi, I have a John Garrick, born around 1875. He is unlikely to be yours or related, but there is the common factor of Liverpool. My interest is in Robert Connell of Liverpool, born Robert Mcconnell in Kirkmabreck, Galloway. He had a brother-in-law John Garrick (Garrick and Garrock are often used indiscriminately)(born c.1841) who had a son John - described in 1881 census as born in Derby. Garrick is a not uncommon name in Galloway, which had strong maritime links with Liverpool (stone used in making Liverpool docks)
