Some of my Garrick family ancestry in Wigtonshire, Scotland, starting in 1700's, has the name of Garrick. However the name has been spelled, Garrock, Garroch, McGarrach. My grandmother, born in Greenoch, Scotland said we were related to David Garrick the great English Actor - but I have not located a connection YET. If we are related to David Garrick - our common ancestor would probably be from Southern France and have the surname Garrigue.
