Died, Aug. 7, 1858, Orangeburg Co., SC
Buried - Old Home Place, South Willow Rd., between Cope and
Norway, SC.
Jacob Garrick was the 4th child of George Henry Garrickb. Ca. 1846 outside of Berlin, Germany, age 6, when arrived
in South Carolina with his father, George Ulrich Gerich
on the ship Upton. George Henry Garrick died between 1830-
1836. The mother of John Jacob Garrick is unknown.
Married May 12, 1811, St. Matthew's Luthern Church,
Mary Magdelen Brandenburg, b. Ca. 1790, Orangeburg District,
SC, Confirmed April 14 1811, St. Matthew's Luthern Church, Orangeburg Dist., SC, d. Ca. 1891, Orangeburg Co., SC., buried: Old Home Place on South Willow Road, between Norway and Cope, SC. Mary Magdelen Brandenburg was the daughter
of John Martin Brandenburg, b. Dec. 1755, Orangeburg Dist.,
SC, d. Dec. 31, 1808, buried 1-11-1809, Orangeburg Dist.,
SC (buried on the plantation, however, cemetery has been
plowed under).
Mother unknown. John Martin Brandenburg was the son of
Johannes Martin Brandenburg who arrived in SC in 1752 on
the ship Cunliff.
