Hello Mary,
Thank you for your response..I will try to contact Rosalie to ask if she has more information.
I believe Julia’s mother was Ann Elizabeth Elbert (no dates) First wife of Samuel b.April 15,1798 d.June 05, 1851.
Children I have for this union, Sarah Garth --- John L. Garth abt.1824---- Julia Ann Garth 1826-1855--- Francis M. Garth abt.1829---- Maria M.Garth abt.1830-.
Sincethese children were born in KY.I’m assuming their mother died in KY.
Samuel married Philipa Leslie (Bate) CoatesMay 12, 1831.Since Samuel/Philipa’s first two children were born in KY.. It seems likely they married in Kentucky.
I have no knowledge ofJulia’s husband Dr. W.W. Miller (of Saline Co. Mo.) being married/widowed prior his marriage to Julia.
Julia & Wm.’s son Samuel’s middle initial is G.Grattan is a common Miller given name but educated guess is Samuel’s middle given was probably Garth.
Henry B.’s middle was Brown for his Miller grandmother, who’s maiden name was Brown.
Julia/Wm. had a daughter Maria Louise Miller b. abt. 1852married to William Lewis.
I wonder why Julia was in New Orleans when she died..She is buried in Lee’s Summit Mo..
William W. Miller died 1886, intestate in Jackson County Missouri.security by Wm. Lewis, W. C. Harrleson and Maria Bowman.
Maria Bowman is a mystery to me..At first I thoughtLouise and Maria might be different daughters to explain Maria possibly being born when Julia died, but marriage for Wm. Lewis lists his bride as Maria Louise Miller..
Maybe Maria Bowman is Julia’s sister???
Thanks again
