Hello, my name is Stephanie Jones. My Great-Grandfather was J.l Gassaway who was married to Etta Brunette-Harris. My grandmother was Wanda Gassaway. Her brother and sister was Paul and Pauline, both deceased. My father is Gary Paul von Wald (Jones). I was excited to see so much information about my roots online. I have been searching high and low. There might be someone who knows why they left Maryland. My question is why did they live England? I saw that the family came over in the 1600's. My Great-Grandfather about 7 generations ago was Nicholas Gassaway and he was born in England 1634.
