there is a story in our family that states that when slavery was outlawed, there were 3 brothers. one named himself an ellis, one a gassaway, and one a hall, and all 3 went different directions. i am descended from the joseph ellis born in 1843. need to know if anyone has any info about him. if so, please contact me at lwhodreams@hotmail.com. thank you.
