Edward Gassaway and his wife Alice are my 2nd great grandparents. I am decended from their daughter, Adelaide Gassaway, who married Martin Hill. All lived in Baltimore, MD, in the vicinity of Mt. Olivet Cemetary. This is in south-west Baltimore City.

The children of Edward & Alice were:
Edward 1864-1845
Harry 1867-1945
Emma 1870
Adelaide 1872
Alice 1872
Blanche 1879

Edward was a stevadore, working at the Port of Baltimore. He enlisted in the US Navy during the Civil War & served on the USS Maratanza as a Master-of-Arms.

I have other other info on him or his family. Any help out there?

Mike Gleason
