I am of the Gassner family and have just started doing a search on my side of family.
Father's name was Henry Saterlee Gassner and he was a JR. I was told that my Great grandfather imigrated to this country from Germany? He was involved in the Episcopal Church as a priest or bishop? If I remember correctly it was in PA. I believe my father had a brother named Frank and I know that he does have two sisters Virginia and Barbara.
Boy this is really something when you get started and I haven't even cracked any ice yet. Oh, there was also some sort of uncle that lived in New York and did something in
films and I have actually seen the name Gassner in film credits.
Good luck to you and me.
