Hi Elaine, I think I got a letter from a relative of yours regarding your family. They have been in contact with another Gassner family in Ohio and I was in contact with that Gassner family. She thought we were related. Based on the information I am still not sure we aren't. I am related to Christ Gassner 1834-1884 who married Caroline Schaaf 1835-1885. Do you know if that town was part of France at any time?
My Gassners appeared first on the 1860 census for Pittsburgh, PA.
