Have you tried alternate spellings?

My Geatleys came from Athlone, Roscommon as far as I can tell. I was told by another researcher that most Geatleys are from the Dysart Chapel area.

Luke Geatley & wife Margaret (born Westmeath) entered the US thru New Orleans. Mary Geatley Moran and husband Thomas lived in RHode Island in the 1840s. Both families reached Jefferson County, Missouri by the 1850 Federal Census.

Neighbors' surnames include Byrne, Farrelly, Donegan, and Crean. The church began as St. Columbekill, later became Our Lady, Queen of Peace.

Descendents also use the Gately spelling.
